work has been nuts this week! Between unforseen family stuff leading to my boss being out, re records, up coming shoots, and training for a launch of a new media system, we have been busy! On top of that, last night we had a goodbye party / drinks for TWO brand team members. I'm happy for them to be moving on to new places, but it is sad for us to lose them.
Needless to say, I'm happy that the weekend is near. I didn't see Scott last weekend, since I was in NY with friends for George and Kate's wedding. And he has been working nights the past few days, so we have not even talked that much! Friday will be a nice relaxing night, followed by a FANTASTIC Saturday event - HAIR at the Shubert, New Haven with mom! I cannot wait. HAIR thrills me in a way I cannot even explain. It makes me happy, and is my #1 mood lifter. The show is emotional, in that it has a sad ending - but the END of the show is so uplifting and positive when they reprise Let the Sunshine In, and of course HAIR, while the audience floods the stage.
A combo of all things below make for a great weekend!

Tiffany and Alex's wedding!
10/10/10 - Tiffany and Alex got married! It's sort of funny how we're all connected. Scott and Alex grew up together, and Tiffany and I played sports together and were friends in High School. Tiff and Alex met on a co ed soccer team. Scott and I met when we both worked at Subway. Ironic that they both ended up dating girls from Milford!
Saturday before the wedding, we went to the rehearsal dinner at the River restaurant in Milford, then went back to Tiff's sister Janis' house for a bit. (The house is gorgeous! Amazing kitchen, fireplace, huge deck, pool, hot tub... I'm adding all those things to my wish list! )
Sunday - Scott and I met Alex at 10a to help with some last minute set up. I was in charge of making sure they ate lunch, (Subway, how precious.) Then, it was time for a sweet ceremony, and fun reception.

They got married at the Barn at Wesleyan Hills, which has weeping willow trees out by a pond, and then a beautiful barn for the reception with an adjoining cocktail reception room.

First Dance - Marry Me, by Train
sweet speeches. tear jerkers.
pumpkins
Columbus day - Scott and I went and got Pumpkins, and carved them right away. I think he was skeptical at first, but enjoyed the process. He picked a massive pumpkin, but it didn't take him much longer than me to carve it!

tues.
It is not as fun to make a pizza alone as it is with Jen, Colls and Lori.
It's also more fun to grill w/ Sv, or get my Archie's fix with him than make dinner at home alone.
At least, tonight - I am headed to Lori and Beth's to watch Glee after I eat the fantastic smelling pizza (red pepper, onion and fresh Mozz.)

Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.
In honor of what would be John Lennon's 70th birthday (10/9/10), Google UK put up their first video doodle.
I'm sure most of you who read this know, I have a great love of all things Beatles. I knew who they were, knew some songs but didn't think too much about it until I was in 8th grade. I met a friend who LOVED them as much as I soon would. We played their songs over and over, wore Beatles tshirts, and even played songs too fast on the record player, laughing til it hurt at how funny John and Paul sounded like chipmunks. To this day, Beatles songs are my go to on a bad, or good mood.

I watched Chapter 27 which is about Mark David Chapman, the guy who murdered Lennon. It was really creepy. Chapman was psychotic, and obsessed w/ Lennon. It is incredibly sad that such a talented artist was taken so early. Anyway. The google video is below.
Also - Yoko Ono is on Twitter. @YokoOno - On John Lennon's birthday Oct9th 8pmGMT let's tweet 1 million wishes to @IPTower. Watch live http://imaginepeacetower.com

Grilled Cheesus
I was disappointed with the Glee Britney episode last week. It was mostly a music video with a weak plot line. If this was the direction the show was going in, they were going to lose me as a viewer.
Luckily, they bounced back this week with an episode true to the original format. The songs fit the plot, flowed pretty well with the story similar to a musical and not a forced music video. I thought Finn's experience with his Grilled Cheesus was funny, though I'm sure there will be articles and comments on blogs about how it is making fun of religion.
The episode was pretty heavy * with Kurt's dad being in the hospital, and all his friends trying to help him out, while he rejects prayer and God in general. It was touching the way all his friend rallied for him - especially Mercedes, who is a great combination of sweet and fierce. LOVE her. (Though I am still a bit bummed they are putting Quinn/Diana Agron in the background. Where are her solos??)

ps. Kurt's rendition of "I wanna hold your hand" totally made me tear up!
