Love these black capri's from Target! I was dreading having to find new ones, after 'What Not To Wear' with Heather. I tried these on randomly, and didn't expect much, but LOVE them. And for $25 I might have to buy alternate pairs!

Red Bones
Love the BBQ food here! It is one of Scott's favorite places up here!
You can spin the wheel and then drink the beer assigned to that number!
Magic Tower
A few weeks ago, I took a bike ride around the area and found Prospect Hill Park and a random historical tower.
I told Scott about it, but didn't explain it well, and sort of forgot how I ended up there. So he told me that when I figure out where my "Magic Tower" is - we could visit. Lucky him, we got to go! haha. It's actually kind of cool. It's from the 1700's (though there is a 1903 date carved into the stone (?) renovations, maybe?) and part of the whole Battle @ Bunker Hill era. We took pictures, explored a little, enjoyed the grassy knoll nearby, and were history geeks on a Sunday.
Boston
Looks like a sewer cover but it tells the direction of the Old North Church, Bunker Hill, etc.
weekend update
Friday, Scott and I went to a fantastic newish pizza place in Davis Sq called Posto. They have great local brew / craft brews and a delicious margherita pizza.
Saturday, we went for a hike in the Blue Hills (near work).
Then headed to Earth Fest and saw Collective Soul.

Brussels in Bloom - Flower carpet
This is pretty cool -
These are flowers that look like a giant carpet. They've been doing this since the 70's!

MA quirk
I seriously cannot stand when people say "So don't I" when they mean "Neither do I".
Ex. from today:
"I rarely carry cash on me"
"So don't I! I only use my debit card."

last weekend
Last Friday, I drove to CT to take my mom (and dad) to see Beauty and the Beast in New Haven (Mothers' Day present).
Saturday - Mani/Pedi's at Sun Nails , Car wash, and lunch downtown before heading back to MA. Saturday night, I met my roommate Johanna and her friends out for Johanna's 30th birthday celebration. They had gone to dinner, so I met them at The Top of the Hub . It was so busy! There was a 30 minute wait to get into the bar. Luckily - since I had friends already in there, they were able to come out and get me. We ended up getting a table, and a delicious cookie dessert!
Update:
I finally uploaded pictures!!

unintended effect
There is a 'Wet Paint' sign on a wall at work. Of course, I have the urge to touch it - which clearly the sign is intended to prevent.

not ideal
In April, there was lots and lots of rain in MA. Lots of homes flooded, had water in basements, etc. We had a few inches but it wasn't anything too crazy. I didn't think my things were affected - most important things were in plastic tubs. Including a nice batch of summer clothes. Apparently, somewhere in that tub was a crack. Water came in. I'm not sure how many clothes will survive the tragedy that has struck them. The biggest worry is how the heck do I get a tub of soaking wet, potentially moldy clothes out of the basement, to a laundromat to attempt to wash them? ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

MS bike 2010
I think this was my 6th year at the MS Bike, Ride the Vineyard. Finally, after 2-3 years of cold, rainy days - we had a 70 degree, sunny day to enjoy. I'm so grateful that Jen, Colleen, Lori and Beth were able to come with me and help support such a great cause. It means a lot to me to continue doing the ride Heather and I started what seems like forever ago.
Thank you to all my donors , who made the ride possible, and helped raised funds to fight MS!

Julia Nunes
Sunday night fun. Julia Nunes is a college student in Upstate NY. She started playing the ukulele and creating You Tube Videos for fun, and then for a contest to win a new uke. She acquired a huge fan base, and has since toured with Ben Folds, plays at Bonaroo, and tours on her own. I was so excited she came to the Middle East
The video above someone else at the show put on You Tube. Below - two of my faves - Into the Sunshine and Maybe I will, and her cover of Build me Up Buttercup.
